New LCAP Committee Information

The Board of Trustees and Superintendent appreciate all of the participation in the District’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) meetings.  We have received valuable input that will help us to develop the District’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which is the next step in the process.  2 members from each of the various sub-group meetings have been selected to participate on the LCAP Committee.  This Committee will work with District Administration to determine the best use of available District resources for the 2014/15 school year, as well as the next two school years, to close the student achievement gap and improve our student’s education.

Thank you in advance to your commitment to the students of the Adelanto Elementary School District.  We look forward to working with you.

Parent Visitor/Volunteer Policy

August 20, 2013

Dear Parents/Guardians of Eagle Ranch Students:

In our effort to provide a safe environment for our students I want to review our parent visitor/volunteer process. All parents who are on campus after our bell rings must sign into the office. If you are not a board approved volunteer you must pick up a visitor sticker and you may stay for up to 30 minutes in your child’s classroom. Our board approved volunteers must also sign into the office and must wear their ID badges that have been issued. In order to be in a classroom on a regular basis or attend a field trip with your student you must become board approved. Our volunteer approval forms are available in our school office. You will need to complete a volunteer training, have a current TB test, have a live scan completed, and submit your volunteer form to our office to become board approved. Please see our school office for more information. We ask that you please follow all of these procedures to help ensure the safety of our students.

Thank you for your continued support,

Laura Ramos, Principal

“What is School-Wide PBIS?”

Improving student academic and behavior outcomes is about ensuring all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible. SWPBS provides an operational framework for achieving these outcomes. More importantly, SWPBS is NOT a curriculum, intervention, or practice, but IS a decision making framework that guides selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students.

(ASES) After School Safety & Education Program

After School Makes a Difference!
* After school programs provide an equivalent of 90 additional days of school, helping students to strengthen social and academic skill sets to become more confident learners during the school day.
* After school programs help significantly increase language acquisition rates for English learners through smaller class sizes, individual and collaborative learning opportunities, and greater peer-to-peer interaction.
* After school programs enable single and married parents who are employed full-time to be productive at work, financially stable and self-sufficient. (Santa Clara County Office of Education, 2009)
